Import Notification in TRACES NT

When importing certain products into the EU, additional inspections by the Swedish Food Agency or the Swedish Board of Agriculture may be required. If your goods enter the EU by road, the initial inspection takes place at the point of entry into the first EU country. If your goods arrive by air or sea, they must be pre-notified here in Sweden. Whether your goods are subject to inspection is determined by the commodity code and, in some cases, the country of origin.

A health entry document — an import notification in TRACES NT, the system used by the Swedish Food Agency and the Swedish Board of Agriculture — may be required for certain products upon import.

Different CHED (Common Health Entry Document) forms apply depending on the type of goods being imported.
