New Export System (AES) October 1, 2024

Within the EU, a change process has been underway for some time, with the aim of ensuring that all information transfer between companies and customs authorities will be done electronically.
All changes are expected to be implemented in 2025, but the new export system will go into production on 1 October 2024, with an implementation period until 2 December 2024. There will be extensive changes regarding the Swedish export procedure and what information the Swedish Customs will require and which must be provided in the Swedish export declaration.
The new export process consists of providing information in three steps: export declaration, notification of goods to the customs office of exit and notification of the export of goods.
